Mr. McManus is a Registered Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS #15226) with primary expertise in wetland and hydric soil assessment and delineations. Mr. McManus holds a B.S. degree in Agronomy and an M.S. degree in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Connecticut. He has conducted over 2,000 wetland delineations and assessments throughout New England as well as in many other states throughout the U.S.A. Other areas of expertise include USACE wetland resource area determinations, wetland inventory/functional assessments, construction and erosion control monitoring, vernal pool surveys/assessments, surface water quality sampling, linear wetland survey along proposed natural gas pipelines, overhead power lines, and fiber optic lines, wetland permitting and compliance service as well as wetland survey utilizing a global positioning system (GPS).
As a soil scientist, Mr. McManus has conducted post-construction surface water quality sampling and report preparation from inlet and outlet structures associated with stormwater treatment systems at several retail development sites as well as surface water and groundwater sampling on various golf courses. |
